Every theory gets its real value only when it’s put in practice. We know it because first 7 years of our existence we’ve talked to top managers and owners of 239 Czech companies and organizations of various sizes and industries. We’ve talked with them about issues they’d been addressing in managing operations, sales, marketing, production, IT or HR; about how and why they’d decided to solve these problems, how they performed these changes and what was their key to success.
Every single company or person is unique. Universal approaches do exist, however there’s always a certain percentage of exceptions that at the end of the day creates the unique and competitive advantage of the company. ‘Can’t see the forest for the trees’ it is said. However, it would be a huge mistake to ignore the beauty of individual trees for the forest.
We are specialists in stress management and happiness at work. We consider these topics to be two sides of the same coin, and to be the core ones for every single company. While stress affects the cost side of the company, employee happiness influences the revenue one. Current research clearly shows the direct link between stress and a wide range of psychosomatic diseases - Bruce Harold from Stanford University's School of Medicine reports stress to be the main cause for up to 90 % of all diseases. Moreover, in 1999, in the former EU-15, according to a WHO survey, 50 to 60 % of work-related sick leave was triggered by stress.
But there is also a direct link between subjectively experienced happiness and higher productivity and creativity at work and increase in revenues. According to the University of Warwick, happier employees are 12 % more productive and, as found by Deloitte, they do not leave the company.
We devote to both stress and happiness at work significant attention and energy from a variety of angles. We build on recent scientific findings and current scientific studies. In addition to the latest scientific knowledge in the fields of medicine, psychology, neurophysiology and endocrinology, we also take into account psychotherapeutic theories and case histories and bring insights from the mindfulness perspective. In mindfulness, we combine the so-called construct mindfulness used in western medicine and psychotherapy, in particular in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), as well as the original, spiritual-based mindfulness derived from Buddhism and other religious directions. Contemporary science provides us with the measurement and evaluation of both these branches of meditation techniques.
We offer a comprehensive approach to stress and happiness at work. From the identification of potential problems and risks in these areas, through consulting to practical group workshops and seminars, individual development programs for key employees and managerial groups where we work on stress reduction, increase of happiness and psychological safety within specific teams of workers.
Anatomy of Stress – Workshop Anatomy of Stress consists of a combination of theoretical knowledge from neurophysiology and psychology, a variety of practical examples, and interactive group work with participants. It is focused on deep work with stress and its causes. Participants will learn how to cope better with stressful situations. More important – through interactive work with elements of self-experience they will learn how to prevent stress.
Meditation Techniques (NEW 2018) - The Meditation Techniques workshop helps participants acquire a wide range of science-based and evidence-based meditative and relaxation techniques. They will learn how to work with sitting, lying, standing and walking meditation. Participants will also learn about the mechanisms of effect of individual meditation techniques from the perspective of current scientific findings. They’ll gain also an insight into concrete effects of meditation on stress and physical pain suppression, as well as on increasing the level of subjectively experienced happiness and empowerment of the sense of belonging.
Are you interested in some metrics of our Meditation Techniques workshop? 96 % of attendants stated that they'll try to implement at least one meditation technique into their lives, 85.71 % want to try two and more techniques. The content of the workshop was appraised by 9.13 points out of 10, the lecturer by 9.12 points out of 10. 84 people from 2 corporations and 5 countries went already through this workshop.
How to Overcome the Crisis (NEW 2018) - Workshop How to Overcome the Crisis serves to better preparation of its participants for coping with future crises, whether in their private or working life. The workshop builds on the basic principles of crisis intervention (psychotherapeutic approach) as well as on contemporary knowledge about neurophysiology of the brain. Participants will be introduced to the psychosomatic impacts of the various stages of the General Adaptation Syndrome (GPA), as well as to mechanisms how to cope with somatic manifestations of the crisis and how to prevent them. Thanks to included self-experience elements, they will also learn how to prepare for future crisis and identify their own strengths in dealing with crisis situations.
Anatomy of Change - Workshop Anatomy of Change will introduce participants with specific tools for effectively managing their own fears of change as well as with methods of systematic planning, preparation, realization and completion of changes in work and personal life using basic neuropsychological mechanisms. The workshop brings a combination of theoretical knowledge, a variety of practical examples and interactive individual and group work with participants. They will get familiar with the findings of modern psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience in the field of perception and coping with change and get to understand better the mechanisms by which their own brain responds to passive and active changes, how to approach changes to be able to adapt to them as quickly as possible or how to become more successful in performing them.
How to Speak and Understand to Each Other - Workshop How to Speak and Understand to Each Other focuses on eliminating stress that often stems from interpersonal communication. During this workshop participants will get acquainted with the theory of communication from the human brain functioning point of view, and through a variety of practical exercises and concrete demonstrations, they will be able to identify problematic moments that repeatedly lead them to communicate differently than they wish. A significant part of the workshop also works with self-experience, during which participants will be able to better understand what specific moments in their (not only) working communication lead to misunderstandings and why some people make them feel upset when they talk to them. As a result, participants will learn to get along better with customers, superiors and colleagues and will be better able to pass on key information and messages to others.
How to Be Happy at Work - Workshop How to Be Happy at Work helps participants to become happier in their current job. Seminar participants, through a series of self-experience exercises, will learn how to better recognize the factors that interfere with their life balance and happiness in their current job and life. They will also receive a number of practical tips based on current scientific findings on how improve Work-life Balance, or even better the life harmony, and how to become happier and more content in their work, personal and spiritual lives. This workshop will also introduce participants to the importance of meaning at work, not only from the psychotherapeutic perspectives of logotherapy or existential therapy, but also from the point of view of the Japanese approach to reconciling work, personal and spiritual goals called ikigai (fulfilled life). According to scientific research the feeling of ikigai is one of the main reasons why Japanese population has the highest life expectancy on the planet, and why, in old age, Japanese people with ikigai suffer considerably less serious diseases than others.

The initial strategy of our company has built on three major areas – communication, consulting and education. And it sticks to them even now, albeit in a different manner. We have become the top company in marketing communication, mainly for B2B products and worked for many years for Czech branches of large ICT multinationals as well as for large Czech companies.
At that time the core of our operations were case studies. Thanks to them we could talk to top management teams or even owners of 239 companies, frequently the most important ones in their respective areas – e. g. in finance, engineering, utilities, chemistry, construction, health or grocery industries.
We have gained a unique know-how and information about Czech workplace across industries and companies of various sizes. The impact of happiness and satisfaction of employees on the financial results as well as on employees’ personal lives was absolutely obvious, in all of those companies. And that has brought us to HR 2.0. Moreover, we started to focus on areas of personal happiness and satisfaction even in the area of personal life, as a part of our CSR project to help single parents, back in 2013.

During 15 years of my career I’ve seen hundreds of companies, met thousands of people, travelled through many countries, got to meditation, psychological studies and engaged in few CSR projects. It has brought both me and my company to where we are now. Owners of strategic changes are humans. Even a contract is not being closed by Corporation A with Corporation B, but by a human with a human. Even customers are ‘only’ humans. The world has changed, everything today is P2P – Person-to-Person. And therefore, the HR should be human first and only then resources, because owners of both changes and innovations are again only humans.
